can anyone help me with these sat math problems?

When the positive integer m is divided by 5, the remainder is 3. What is the remainder when 20m is divided by 25?

The answer is: 10

I dont get it....i got 2...can anybody explain?

and a writing one as well please?

Long thought of as a quiet, stuffy place where people just borrowed books, libraries have been changing their images dramatically over the last few years. No Error.

The answer is: a quiet, stuffy place.

IT doesnt make sense

The math question deals with modular arithmetic.

<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modular_arithmetic%5B/url%5D">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modular_arithmetic</a></p>

You don't need to know that much though. Just pick any number that, divided by 5, leaves 3. Let's say 8. 8/5 = 1R3. 20*8 = 160. 160/25 = 6R10.

The writing one deals with the agreement between "libraries" (plural) and "place" (singular). It should be "quiet, stuffy places".

^ ditto what he said.lol

omg duh.....looks obvious now

It should read "Long thought of as quiet stuffy place*s*..." There needs to be agreement between "places" and "libraries" (both are plural)
