I am working on my college list, and for the most part i have it all laid out. But i am still looking for one ( maybe 2) more schools to apply to to top off my list.

Here is what i have so far:

Reach: Boston university

Reach-match-University of washington : in state

match- Depaul University
Western Washington University

Safeties: Seattle Pacific
Pacific Luthern University
Boise State University
Northern Arizona University

Those are my 8 schools i have so far, and for the most part it has a lot of safetie schools, and i would like to find a few more match/reach schools. I am looking for schools similar to those. I want to go to school in a big city ( Boston Chicago, Seattle) But i am not limited to that. Also i want a schools with a decent sports sceen ( i know not all my schools have that) and also a good social life, i don't want to be isolated. I plan to major in Athletic Training or Hospitality, but i am not sure if i will stick with that, so don't make that a major criteria.

Quick stats- 3.5 UW GPA
21 act ( i know horrible)
4 AP classes, 1 Honors
Lots of EC'S
Good Recs and Essays

Anyone have any information about schools that might fit that criteria? Thanks again!!

I really want to give you information about that but i really cant. At this moment i would say i would need aid, but my dad works with a company that invents things, and they are currently working on deals with groups around the world to sell their product, and it is supposed to be happening soon, so if that happened i would need significently less aid. So just recommend everything that you can think of and i will talk it over with my parents and decide. Don’t worry about money for the colleges for the moment. I hope that helped explain anything?

I think you need to talk to your parents about what they can afford.

your ACT score is too low for schools that give good financial aid…so you need to assume that you will have to pay all costs for whatever school you go to.

You may not understand this…but most schools have little aid to give. The schools that have money to give require test scores that are much higher than yours.

It’s tooooo late in the admissions process to not worry about money. You need to find out how much they’ll pay each year.

You will waste a lot of time if you don’t know what your financial situation is. Once you have a budget from your parents, you can create a reasonable application list.

You do realize that BU is a MAJOR reach. Your SAT which is weighted the same as GPA is in the bottom 7% which is hooked country (probably mostly athletes).

So a parent may have BIG increase in income before December 31st?

These deals all take time, maybe it won’t happen or maybe parent will receive this big income in 2011, which means it would count toward your Sophomore Year of college.
