can colleges read ur SAT essay?

Can and would colleges read an applicant's SAT essay?

If so, they can compare one's application essay with the SAT essay

If the applicant sends his scores, yes they can.

lol i hope so! i wrote mine about carrie bradshaw and meredith grey.

btw i got a 12 :)

Adcoms can read the SAT essay to compare it with the application essay. If the app essay reads like it was professionally done (i.e. by a paid consultant) the adcom can check it against the student sample.

My SAT essay sucked (somehow got a 9) and only getting 1 wrong on the writing MC was what saved my score. What can I do about that?

go on mystery tutor. he gave a format out that basically works like a charm. other than that i hate mystery tutor though.

Oh god, I hope they don’t read mine. Got a 10 on mine…not up to my usual standard, lol.

stephennn, you’re already at NYU…Why do you care -.-

well… the thing is I got a 12
but I’m going to take the SAT again, and the problem is that I have my own strategy
I practice writing a certain example enough that the fact sentences are almost automatic, and they will always be almost the same if I use the same example.

It’s good to know that colleges can see it because otherwise I might have been writing a near-identical essay

Haha I’m surprised I got in anywhere. Mine was incoherent but I made sure all my examples were written clearly. That’s what my tutor told me to do. It literally was chicken scratch but it worked.

i’m just saying i hope they read my SAT essay because it was pretty funny. i’m just trying to give my thoughts to the CC community :(
