At my high school, ap gov and ap econ are only 1 semester classes. Also I'm taking multivariable calc and a physics class at the local community college that are also only 1 semester. So my 12th grade 2nd semester classes are

Ap Geo
Ap Physics C
Ap Eng Lit
Span 3
P.E. or Sport(maybe not sure if I can get rid of it over summer)

1st semester is: So you know i'm not slacking
Ap Geo
Ap Physics C
Ap Eng Lit
Span 3
Ap gov
Ap econ
Multi Calc
Physics

I might drop physics from college since the class is pretty long. =P

So with this schedule,

Ap Geo
Ap Physics C
Ap Eng Lit
Span 3

I will most likely self study some ap's to get college credits, depending on which university i will attend(most likely about 2 and I can do one in Ap Geo since its really easy). Can my counselor include the self studies so colleges wont think that I "dropped" ap classes and might rescind me? Can my counselor also include that those classes are only 1 semester long? Thanks.

Both on your application and the SSR, your sr year courses are listed by sem/qt, so colleges will know how long courses last (it should also show up on your HS profile). There shouldn’t be any problem with colleges thinking you dropped classes when it is clear that they only lasted 1 sem.

As far as self-studying APs during sr year, see if you can take them as an Independent study or some other formal recognition at your HS that you are taking them. Your GC can mention in the SSR that you will self-study, but since colleges won’t be able to see either a grade or test score, it’s iffy that they would include them in your sr schedule if there isn’t something more formal.

so lets say I get accepted to UC’s and ivies. And after seeing my 2nd semester report card can I get rescinded even if I get straight A’s? With that 2nd semester courseload what are the minimum grades that I can get to not be rescinded to ivies and UC’s. Of course I won’t get the minimum, but I just want to know. thanks

If a college looks at your application and thinks your 2nd semester courseload is not rigorous enough why would they accept you in April and then rescind you in June after you have completed your stated coursework with straight As? My point is, you have stated your full sr courseload on your application and SSR, if they think your 2nd semester is too light, they just won’t accept you in the first place. Rescinding occurs because an applicant dropped class(es) and/or got low grades 2nd semester.

No one can tell you the threshold for being rescinded.

The only other ap’s available at my school that I have not taken are:

Ap World history(But I already took Euro and its usually an either or)
Ap Studio Art(Class expects you to already take Drawing 1 and 2)
Ap Spanish(Not on that level yet)
Ap Spanish lit(Not on that level yet once again)
Ap Physics B(Taking it at community college since it can’t fit in my schedule, its the same period as ap physics c)

I was just posting this for confirmation but you scared me a little when you say they might not accept me because all my classes are only for 1 semester. But I mean its 2nd semester senior year, I don’t want to sign up for additional college classes lol <.<

It usually takes some serious screwing up to get rescinded. Generally, if there’s a change in your schedule, you’re expected to report it to everywhere you applied (or if it’s a change after you’re accepted, you report it to wherever you were accepted). You would be able to explain the change at that point.

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. You are putting words into my mouth. I am making NO statements about: (1) the strength of your schedule, (2) whether or not you will be accepted or, (3) whether or not you will be rescinded.

What I have been trying to tell you throughout this thread is that since you are stating your schedule up front on your application and that how many semesters a class lasts at your HS is stated on your HS profile, so there’s no rational reason to be concerned about an adcom thinking you dropped a class, and therefore no reason for you to be concerned about being rescinded.

This is my last comment because I don’t know how to restate this any clearer.
