Can freshman live at 575 commonwealth?

i am the pickiest person in the world and would love to live at the 575 commonwealth dorms, but since i’ll be a freshman, can i? or is it only reserved for upperclassmen?

Don’t take my word for it, but I think they can.

Here’s the thing…would you really want to? It’s mostly filled with juniors and seniors, i.e. people who already have friends. You’ll have a much harder time meeting people in those dorms. Aim for a nice freshman dorm. It’ll be filled with people just like you who are eager to meet others.

Not likely. You pick some choices and you get assigned. Don’t list Warren or West and that will increase your shot but then understand it becomes more of a crap shoot where you’ll get placed.

freshmen can live there, but i believe it’s mostly sophomores. there’s almost all triples, very few doubles and very few singles.

Yeah, if you’re not looking to live in West or Warren, I’d say 575 would be a decent other option for freshmen, along with Towers. You might have a better shot this year since a lot of sophomores will be aiming for StuVi 2.

Freshmen can live there, but it’s mostly filled with sophomores and some juniors (not juniors + seniors). There are mostly triples in there though, and there’s no dining hall in the building, so I still think that Warren/West/Towers would be better choices for a freshman.

The point about StuVi2 is good. Truth is no one knows what will happen because this is the first year for the new buildings.

i had alot of friends frosh year who lived in hojo, they loved it since it was close to smg, cas, etc. i’m a sophomore this year and i was originally going to aim for hojo, but i wanted to live in a single/double and those are difficult to get unless you do internal, so you will probably end up in a triple as a freshman.
