Can High Test Scores cover for low GPA?

<p>I know there are MANY factors that go into your application, but obviously your GPA and Test Scores are the top variables in your application. </p>

<p>So, my question is…</p>

<p>My UC GPA is around a 3.65. My SAT was a 2050, lets say SAT 2’s are both 750+ or 800’s.</p>

<p>JUST looking at those factors alone, is the GPA compromised?</p>

<p>Depends on the campus, but in general gpa trumps test scores by far (absent extenuating circumstances). Thus, a 3.3/2400 will likely be rejected by both Cal and UCLA.</p>
