So, I just got back from visiting the University of Pittsburgh, my first choice. It was amazing and I am absolutely in love with the school. While I was there, I had a one on one meeting with an admissions officer. As she reviewed my file she told me flat out that I would get in and i was "her breath of fresh air" from that days interviews, but she said she can't officially say that i'm in as the official decision comes in the mail. Additionally she had only seen an unofficial transcript due to my schools delay in sending in my official one. So I am wondering, how much truth should I assume there is in what she said. Am I really in or could i still be rejected? She said she thought i would be accepted to the honors college and possibly get some merit scholarship money. I'm so excited and yet, so nervous that its going to get messed up! What do you think? Do admissions officers ever give false hope like this?

buy them but don't wear them out yet

When I visited Pitt I got the same reception. Im assuming if your eligible for merit money youll at least be accepted.

hmm alright, well thanks! anyone else have any comments on this? any personal experience to speak from? i'd love more insight, mostly to quell my nerves!
