Your ECs sound really good. And don't worry about two Bs- that is fine.

Are you in? How do you know? Sorry to doubt, but I see all these kids with like 800s in everything and massive awards that are *****-scared...

Yeah, I'm in. And I was scared as well- I didn't expect to get in. But anyway, I got a B+ for my year grade in freshman honors geometry and a B in some ******** freshman class. A friend of mine got into Brown and he had one B each year (4 Bs).

hmm
i think ur ecs are great
just one problem
where is the hospital related work?
im pretty sure PLME wants some clinical or research experience

Yea I have none of that clininal stuff...My essays will explain why I wanna be a doc, though. I think I'm pretty good at that kinda writing, so it shouldn't be a problem.

bjrwrh, so you're in PLME. I bet you had damn good essays and rec letters. Do you like it? Would you recommend it? Why did you choose PLME over, say, Northwestern's or USC's BA/MD programs?

...bump...

I know a girl who got in PLME this year who never had any hospital experience, so it's not crucial. Your stats will definitely put you well in the range, so make sure that your essays and recs are killer. As I recall, there are a lot of PLME essays, so you'll get a chance to show off there. Good luck!

RaboKarabekian: this girl who had NO hospital experience... did she have any research experience related to medicine? Because that seems very odd that she got into plme without hospital.

So should I be terrified? I have no research or anything...I went to science camp at UC Davis frosh summer, but that was for physics :) so uhhh....

No not terrified. It's just that medical programs are meant for those who want to be doctors and I just find it odd that without demonstrated interest in becoming a doctor that one could get into PLME. I am in NO way trying to scare you SpinDoctor. I'm a scared/paranoid hopeful applying this year as well! =)

...whimper...

haha chill! you'll be fine man. I'm sure as long as you have a solid reason for being a doctor and can convey that through your essays, you'll be fine.

Oh, sorry for the confusion, SpinDoctor: I didn't get into PLME (and I didn't apply to PLME because I'm not pre-med). But I did get into Brown.

lol.......
erm i dont want to make a completely new thread on this
so i was wondering if i could get my chances evaluated while we are at it
btw dude- i think you have an excellent chance as long as you truly show why you want to be a docto
