Can i get in with a C/C+ in AP Physics??

I'm currently a senior in high school taking 7 AP classes. I have done well all through high school, and I have never gotten a C before until this year (in AP Physics C). I got a C first quarter and I am most likely going to end up getting it again the next quarter. I am afraid that the schools I am applying to are going to reject me because of the grade, as they will see my senior year grades. Do I stand a chance with a grade like this??? Please help!

My main schools of concern are: Vanderbilt, Northwestern, USC, UMich, Tufts, and Carnegie Mellon.

all applicants have weaknesses at some school or another. what do you want to major in? what strengths do you have that will matter to the schools you have here and are there enough of those strengths to compensate for the weaknesses of your app? no one is going to look at one course grade and say “no.”

I do have enough ec’s, in my opinion. I hold officer positions in 4 clubs this year, and all showcase my different interests. I am not 100% sure what I want to major in, but on common app, I put down art and business as my top 2 choice majors. I am submitting an art portfolio to all my schools, which I think is pretty decent.
I guess I’m a little paranoid because I am surrounded by so many people who freak out because of a B.

well, you won’t get much relief from the freak-outs here ;+) it’s pretty intense at CC. if you’re going into business or art (and not physics!), have no other C’s, and will never have to take a college physics course, the C/C+ should not be an issue. presumably, you’ve the GPA and standardized test scores to get you into these very good schools, so breathe easy and find some safeties.
