Yes, I think you have a solid chance. You have the ethnic edge and (perhaps even more importantly, for Case), you're from an underrepresented state (Maryland). Case is desperately trying to diversify its undergraduate student body.

Thats really good to know, where did you find taht out about Case?

I'm currently a freshman at Case.

Really? wow thats great i have many questions!

-Im seriously considering going to Case and id like to know do the teachers get involved with their students alot or are they more focused of theyre research (if any). Do they make themselves accesible 2 students?

-How is grading? is it harder than most schools? I heard that Case gives the most amount of Homework in the nation behind MIT, is that true?

-Is there alot to do in Cleveland, particularly around the University circle area?

Do you find the Sages program effective?

-How are the dorms, and hows social life?

grading: very tough. requires a lot of studying (depending on your major of course). "Inside Guide" says Case is second to MIT in terms of difficulty.

accessiblity: same as any research oriented university. If you want a lot of hand holding a liberal arts college would be better

sages: i did not have a great experience first semester but they're working still working out the whole program. The intent is good. I think when you get toward the ones more focused on your major they'll be better. I also did not have a good teacher for Sages..partly because enrollments were larger than they expected at Case and they had to put in teachers for Sages at the last minute.

regular faculty: had some great teachers for other courses

Cleveland: I had a good time first semester getting to know cleveland

Case as a whole: very glad I picked it.

Do you think I could get in?
