Hi,
I’m in eighth grade and I’m applying for Exeter, Andover, Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Lawrenceville, and Horace Mann. My ISEE scores are 8, 8, 8, and a 9 in Verbal. My grades this year are all A’s but last year I had B’s and A-'s in Honors Math. My teachers generally like me because I listen in class, do my homework, do extra-credit work, and participate often. I play piano and I have received many awards on it. I am also currently applying for Julliard Precollege. I play volleyball on a club team and I have received an award for it. I am on the school debate team and I also play the flute and sing. I have spoken Chinese all my life and received several Distinguished Student awards from Chinese School. I haven’t done a lot of volunteer work but I really like doing it and I wish I could do more. During my interview, I talked a lot and I was unable to express myself easily because I was nervous. I am applying for financial aid for all of the schools, I live in New York, and I am Chinese. What are my chances of getting into one of the top elite schools?
In the recent words of @cameo43 “Please be aware that there are a ton of qualified applicants for all of these highly selective schools. No one on the forum can really tell you what your chances are, but try to make your application stand out from the pack. Good luck!”
Thank you @AppleNotFar! I will keep that in mind.
