Can I get into any good universities/colleges in the US with my grades? I'm a UK student.

Background info:
I was in a life threatening car accident in my second year of high school (I was 13) this affected my mental health as well as my grades. After graduating high school and working full time for a few years I decided to go back into education. I decided to do an access course at university, I’m planning on studying Economics at university and was wondering if America was an option.

Achieved grades:
National 5 Maths - A
National 5 Biology - C
National 5 English - C
Human Biology - C

Predicted grades:
Access to Higher Education: Economics&Philosophy - AA

SAT:
I’ve done a couple past papers online and I’ve scored between 1400-1490

Extracurriculars:
Film photography
Volunteered in Nepal for 2weeks teaching English
Fix film cameras

Higher Human Biology - C *

What do you mean by “good”?

What can you afford to pay?

You have been working for several years now. No one will care about extra-curricular activities.

Why do you want to come to the US to study?

If you can afford to be a full pay student, then you will find a school that will take you. There are thousands of colleges and universities in the US. I do not quite know how to interpret your grades, but my guess is that you would end up at a school that is not well known and probably no better than schools you could find in the UK for less money.

You would need more National 5s and Higher/Advanced Highers
(National 5s in Modern Studies, Foreign Language, and History would be expected, as well as Highers covering all core subjects.)

What’s your budget?

You can probably go to university tuition-free in Scotland so, add Maths to your Access qualifications and choose universities with North American exchanges for the “course” you’re interested in.

For people who are curious, this would be similar to a 3.6-3.7 GPA with a ‘very rigorous’ to ‘rigorous’ check mark.

An issue is that some core courses are missing.
