Can I Get Into Florida Atlantic University??

Hello everyone I am currently a junior in high school and I am planning on graduating early in my senior year which would be in January. I currently live in New York and wanted to know if I had a chance at FAU for the summer session.

9th grade classes
Spanish 2 R
algebra 1A
global history R
earth science R
English R

10th grade classes
Spanish 3 H
algebra 1B
global history 2 R
living environment R
English 10 R

11th Grade classes
geometry extended
us history
ecology
English 11 R

12th Grade classes (I made my schedule already so I know my classes)
economics
English 12 R
criminal justice
astronomy

My guidance counselor told me my gpa for my 9th and 10th grade year together was a 3.0 (but my 11th grade year has been good so far so it should go up some hopefully) and I took the PSAT and got a 870 but at that point I didn’t not learn geometry yet. I have to take the SAT in may and I want to know what score I should aim for. I have done cheerleading during my 9th and 10th grade years and have some community service. please somebody lmk if I have a chance at FAU and when the summer session starts. Thank you so much!

Lmao yes you will get into FAU for sure. Your stats are up to par bud

It’s a reach - they want more course rigor and at least a 3.4.
Retake the SAT and prep well before you do.
You must maintain a 3.0+ and take 5 academic classes per year (they want 4 years of math, 4 years of English, 3 years of lab science with 4 preferred, 3 years of social science/history 4 years preferred, 2 years of foreign language 3 years preferred,) and honors classes count in their decision too.
With this in mind, I’d recommend that next year you take Spanish 4H, another math class, Economics, English 12R, Astronomy, and one art class. See if you can add one or two semester-long classes for THIS semester (sociology or geography, and a business class, for instance.)
In addition to FAU, look into Flagler, Stetson, Barry, St Thomas, NovaSoutheastern, FIU, UWF, FGCU.
Then, run the Net Price Calculator to see how much each of the above costs, and bring the results to your parents: what can they afford? Is any of the above “within budget”?
You need to start visiting colleges in the state, too.
