I really need some honest opinions on if I can get into Northeastern University because it is my #1 choice. I am also applying to Northeastern University under the early action plan

Academics:

I have a 3 year culmulative GPA of 2.96, but in junior year alone, I got a 3.4 or 3.5 GPA. Although, I'm not in any AP or honors classes

I got a 27 composite on the ACT

Extracurricular Activities:

By the end of senior year, I will have done 4 years of lacrosse, 4 years of wrestling and 3 years of football.

I have done the Midnight Run which is a community service organization and will have done it for 4 years at end of this school year.

I was a golf caddy at a country club in the summer before the school year started which I will say in my application

Here is what I know. I am no expert in any college acceptances or anything like that. I am a junior in high school and am worried about college as everyone else. NU is a great school, it is one of my top choices as well. From what I know (let me stretch that part: what I know) the school is partly one of the pay in schools. Unless you plan on participating big in some part of that college, like football, lacrosse, or wrestling or you have a super amazing essay, where you explain your grades or you just have super alumni, then I don’t think your chances are that good, maybe your missing something that you didn’t include here, but off of what I see here I would say it’s a little of a reach. Don’t get me entirely wrong though, there are those cases where people get into AMAZING schools with 2.5’s (ex: Harvard). What I’m saying is don’t give up hope, and if you don’t get it, don’t worry about it, you have the opportunity to transfer in from college, or better yet, have an even better experience somewhere else. Hope you get in :)
