Can I get into Rutgers with these credentials?

Applied to Rutgers Nb

with

82 GPA

SAT: 1000 out 1600

classes: 8 honors 2 APs

come from a private school

and have an impressive list of community serivce and extracurriculars

examples: villanova special olympics/foodbank/church volunteering/varsity tennis 4 years/captain/ 4 state tennis titles/ yearbook photographer/ect..

instate

What is your class rank? Your SAT and grades are a little low for Rutgers.

Let’s just say I had a 3.0 UW/3.2 W at a Top 25 school in NJ, 1140/1600 on the SAT’s, strong extracurriculars, was in-state and was wait listed to Rutgers-New Brunswick two years ago. Since admissions criteria always goes up every year I’m going to say you will either be waitlisted or rejected.

My school does not provide class rank.

*82 GPA

SAT: 1000 out 1600*

So, let’s say that your M and CR scores are about evenly split 500 and 500 (or maybe one is a bit higher and the other is a bit lower, but equalling 1000).

It is never good to be in the bottom quartile for each section. You will likely be rejected.

However, will Rutgers take a later score? Can you take the ACT this month or retake the SAT? Many girls do better on the ACT and Rutgers will accept the ACT.

Rutgers NB

Test Scores - Middle 50% of First-Year Students
SAT Critical Reading: 530 - 630
SAT Math: 560 - 680
SAT Writing: 540 - 640

Where else are you applying? There are other schools that will accept you. What is your school budget?

:) (I’m Italian, too! )

^^^ Are you a princess too? Actually, you’d be a queen, a CC queen!!

I was accepted into Catholic University, I also applied to Drew, Loyola in Maryland, Salve Regina, Fairfield, and im still applying :)

I just got into Rutgers on the 6th–engineering program.
I had a 3.75 gpa, 1810 SAT (Combined), good essays, and awesome e.c.'s.

i received my admittance online and am still waiting for that thick envelope :D

^^^

Congrats…if your SAT is about evenly distributed, you have about a 600 in each section. That would put you in the middle 50s. Plus, you have a very good GPA. :)
