Considering the current status of my GPA, I am very doubtful that I will get into USC for the fall semester (that is, if I even get in at all). However, I am curious what other more informed and experienced individuals might think on my chances for admission into the spring semester. USC has been my dream school for a while, and I would be thankful to get into either Spring or Fall semesters. Please let me know what you think, thanks!

People that get into spring semester don’t have different stats than those getting into fall. Some applicants just get spring offer because major is full but they know a certain amount of space opens up due to to study abroad or other reasons. Spring admits are in no way the “B” team with lower stats.

Yeah that makes sense. In that case, do you think I have a shot at USC at all?

In terms of getting “Chanced” for USC, it is virtually impossible for others to predict what may or may not occur in your specific case. With an admit rate now of only 13%, and with 4K+ applicants with 4.0 unweighted GPAs and test scores in the 99th percentile among those not gaining admission, your success will instead likely depend on too many potential factors for anyone to correctly evaluate… factors like your writing ability, unique or distinguishing qualifiers, demonstrated research into USC - including a satisfying Why USC? answer, etc… making predicting admission nearly impossible.

I suggest reading an excellent thread on the topic from the beginning…
