I think this should be in the ‘chance me’ forum.

I’m not a fan of people who stack extracurriculars, but you have a good chance at most of the those schools.

Doubt USC if you’re referring to university of southern california and nyu. They need like a 2000+ to be competitive.

never put NSLC on a college app. just a warning. its not prestigious, although educational, as it is sent out to everyone.

yeah your a fine competitior

National Merit Semi-Finalist = 210+ on your PSAT? If that’s true, why don’t you just take it again? PSAT is usually used as a prediction of your SAT grade, and 210=2100ish =P

Agreed. NSLC has no value for college admissions.

And isn’t Westinghouse now Siemens??

This is barely on topic, but how do you get only 2 hours a week for cross country? Do you mean as in a club instead of a school team? I’ve never heard of such a thing as a 2 hour week…more like 2 hours a day (maybe this is a slight exaggeration, but still…). I’m just curious is all, not trying to be disrespectful.

I’m a little confused as to how you came up with a 3.74 GPA with all those Bs.

Your math and CR combined score of 1190 is on the low side for places like NYU and Colgate. I’m not sure how the California colleges – outside the UCs – view the “new SAT,” but many, perhaps most, eastern colleges and universities are still not giving full weighting to the writing section. I would definitely take the SAT again as your PSAT results suggest you can do better.
