I am going to santa rosa junior college I was awarded a pell and bog
now the director says I can't get approved for a stafford loan untill
I get all my transcripts from other schools.

This is impossible to do in a short time for me

other schools are puzzled how I can be awarded
and not be a allowed a stafford loan because of transcripts
I have learning disabillities dyslexia and addh etc.

does anyone have any suggestions
I will be gratefull for any supportive ideas
I was really counting on a stafford to support this transitional period
I am very stressed over this matter and trying not to give up the ship
Does anyone know a program that allows schools to view grades
from previous schools?

I am very confused about this because over 10 students told me they
were never asked and they went to numerous colleges before santa
rosa junior college
Can anyone suggests any good community colleges that work with
learning disabilities that are actually supportive and advanced.
Good cheer and good luck to you =^.".^=
Much gratitude

Even if you are getting FA, it is predicated on making progress in a degree program. That said there is an expectation that if you are in a full time program that you should achieve "X" number of credits with a minimum gpa by a certain point in your college career. Since you are transferring it is not unusual for the college to want to know what progress you are making toward a degree.

Federal aid requires you to have completed 75% of credits attempted at all schools plus have certain GPAs plus you cannot go over a certain % of credits required for a degree. The school is asking for the information because that is what they are supposed to do. My son initially got turned down for aid this semester because of a disasterous semester last fall but was able to appeal and got probationary aid which means he must meet minimum standards to continue getting aid next semester. This applies to all federal aid including Pell. Also Stafford has cumulative limits of how much you can borrow though this probably does not apply to you unless you already have Stafford loans. The other schools should be able to provide transcripts pretty quickly.

Yes, it's normal. I just went through a FA review at a community college, and they insisted on EVERY transcript from EVERY college I was ever in, including community colleges I enrolled in for one job-related course. EVERY semester or quarter you attend any college counts towards the total amount of time you can be enrolled, that's why they're particular about it.
