I'm currently a college junior and after doing some soul searching I've decided on a career change and I want to change my major. I really want to go into public health and work in a public health department. However, my university doesn't have an undergraduate public health major (but there is a graduate degree for it). I thought about majoring in economics and maybe minor in sociology? Is it possible for this double-major to lead to a career in public health? What else should I be doing if I want to go into public health?

You’ll need to get your Masters of Public Health before you can really get any career in the Public Health field. I think economics and sociology would be a great major combination for this. Public policy would also be a good major or minor to have with it. I think that you should also try to find some internships in the Public Health field.
