Accepted for freshman app. in last year for:
SUNY Binghamton(political sci)+Geneseo(international relations)
all CUNY's applied (regular)
St. John's U. (6 yrs Pharm D. course)

NYU (got the letter in mid April)

I'm thinking about transfer out to NYU/Syracuse/BC(bonston)/or random school in Calif. for chem major.
I'm double majoring in both chem and bio.

I know I'm not really academically strong but wanna try for better chances.

Answer primarily for "Whether I can be accepted for those schools in next year and possibility"
secondarily for "Hows the schools for pre med. dent."

I know i'm a lil bit capricious but what about UCLA and UC Berkeley? (I guess these are the random Calif schools lol)

No one? =/

If you can bang out a fantastic essay and get a glowing letter of recommendation, you would have a shot, probably for CAS. I would recommend getting some activities in there. Most clubs in all schools meet only once a month or rarely, so it should be easy to join one or two. Also, I would find at least some volunteer work in whatever field you are going for. Don’t forget, NYU is a top 35 schools… Good luck!

Also, there are a lot of threads about NYU and transferring. Asking your question in a thread where a couple dozen people are already involved instead of creating your own thread may garner you additional answers and support. I recommend re-asking your question in one of them too.

Thank you for answering! It was kinda shame cuz most of my friends who got into nyu last year’s lowest sat scores were 1900 (they had comparatively low hs gpa and rare activity) and got into nursing school and political science.

Is CAS kinda “bad” school of NYU?

And for the last favor, could you link the thread for me? I’m a newbie for this site and everything’s confusing =P

CAS is an excellent school. A lot of people question whether it is worth the money.
