Not really but someone please tell me my chances!
Of getting into Marist college
I have a 3.5 unweighted gpa and a 4.6 weighted gpa.
I'm ranked 112/295 in my school.
I was in nhs in my old school and I'm also in it in my new school.
I was also in the national art honor society in my old school.
I also have awards for having the highest grades in CPA chem, CPA geometry, CPA Art 1, and CPA art 3.
I haven't done any school sports but I did figure skating for 2 years.
I also did theater and art lessons out of school.
I was in the art club for 3 years, the lit club for 2, and now the environmental club.
and in total I scored about a 1700 on my SATs
I've also done over 100 hours of community service

With a 3.5 GPA and a 60th percentile class rank, no, you can’t use Harvard as a safety.

I hope you’re not dumb enough to believe I was serious…

Harvard is out of reach for you. You should save your time and money and apply elsewhere.

I believe you just got out trolled.

Smart title but people here are smarter.

Anyway I doubt many have heard about Marist college - so you’d be better of asking someplace else!

Rishav is correct. All I know about Marist College is that Bill O’Reilly graduated from it. In the future, you may want to pick a better title.

“I have a 2.2 and i’m captain of the ■■■■■ club. chance me for harvard, yale, oxford, cambridge, dartmouth, princeton and penn11!!11”

Did you really need to have that title though?

You will never, ever get into Harvard.

Ever, I say.

Work on that GPA which will help your class rank and do more EC’s. Camps, clubs, research stuff etc. And it can’t be that hard of Bill O’Reilly got in… I mean he went to Harvard too, but he’s still an idiot…

I know that… Do you really have to put me down? You don’t know what I’ve been through during high school. Maybe I’ll just kill myself because I can’t get in anywhere anyway. Bye.

And thanks for making me feel like my gpa is equivalent to a 2.2. I though we weren’t supposed to put each other down here

The problem with a site like CC is that people, rather than offering constructive opinions and advice, will hide behind a user name in order to mock others. Unfortunate, but true. There are people who are looking for genuine advice and opinions, and I’d like to believe you are one of them. If not, my bad. Anyway, if you look at the Common Data Set for Marist, you will see that the middle 50% range for accepted students last year was 1730-1950. Depending on what “about a 1700” means, you might fall in there. They list GPA averages as 88-93. I don’t really know what that means on a 4.0 scale, but I suspect you fall in there. Know, though, that Marist is test optional, so you can apply without submitting your scores. Good luck.

who did waht now?

And former NBA basketball player Rik Smits.

Ok, but in all honesty for you @jazzy987 if you have a serious interest in a school, contact the school admissions, someone who can actually help you instead of a bunch of teens or middle-aged people who aren’t experts. Because sometimes these boards can be reassuring, but they can make you really feel down and think you have no chance somewhere or just give you false hope. But you never know until you talk to someone and apply there. And hey, if it makes you feel better, Harvard wouldn’t even be a safety for Stephen Hawking. You can predict, bu you never truly know for sure with these Ivy Leagues. They reject people with twice the credentials you have.

Omg guys I don’t care about Harvard or any Ivy League. All I care about is marist.

Then like I said, talk to someone from admissions!
