Are you against interning in Asia? Generally speaking it would be easier to get a job at the European Banks since they do not have the same restrictions placed on by the US government. I am not familiar with the green card issue however.

yeah i want to intern in USA over the summer. I DON’T hold a green card either. I was wondering if its possible to do an internship on an F! Visa… if not what kind of visa do u need ?

You probably need to get OPT or H1

You need OPT. So yes, you can.

you can use CPT as well if you’re school offers some kind of internship courses. i would save my OPT for after graduation.

Sometimes CPT is harder to get though, at least that was the case with me ( I had to get someone to approve credit for my work during the summer, write a paper etc), so I just went with OPT. As long you have 3+months left of OPT after graduation you should be fine, as H1 visas take about that long to process.

yes. DS roomed while on internship with microsoft-redmond, with an Egyption undergrad guy from an Egyption unversity.

Im from Asia too. i cannot find any summer internship because most of them require US citizen or resident.
so I have no choice but go back to my country and work from an investment from UK.
