As a political science major I understand that my non-law job prospects are up in the air. A constant barrage of reminders from my parents have finally convinced me to take a few econ courses and a computer programming course for my last two quarters of school. However, I know that the curves for these are much less generous than with poli sci classes, and so i'll probably take at least a couple if not all P/NP. I am at a "cum laude" status right now and don't want to risk that. If I pass all the classes and they don't count for a major or minor would law schools still rescind an offer?

Most liberal arts majors (even the sciences like biology and chemistry) don’t receive high paying jobs out of undergrad. So taking econ or comp sci is not necessary.

You can P/NP as much as you want. Law schools, save Yale and Stanford, probably won’t care that much.
