Can not applying for financial aid help chances?

So I am applying for a masters at harvard and I feel that I'm around the 50/50 level of getting accepted. I really want to go and (yes ideally I'd love to go for free but) I am willing to pay full tuition in order to go.

I know that they don't typically fund students for this program and lets be honest most master's programs are designed to bring in money to fund the phds, this doesn't mean they're not worth doing, but they are done for money on the part of the university.

So my question is if I don't ask for financial aid will that raise my chances of getting accepted since they know I am willing to pay full price?

Also, by not asking for financial aid from the department, does that mean I cannot get fafsa loans, because I still want those.

No, not applying for departmental financial aid will not affect your eligibility for federal student loans.
