I am writing 2 research paper on entirely new topics.
That i believe are of importance
I wanted to know can this factor increase my admission chances at CALTECH
P.S.:- I am going to take my 1st SAT next month(hope to bring 99 percentile).
I have not done any impressive extra-curricular activities.
It the papers – or just one of them – are published in a peer-reviewed journal, of course it may help. (But as you know, there are no guarantees with elite school admissions.)
Well,i believe it is not those peer-reviewed journal type research,rather it is something new something like invention.

A patent or two might be similarly valuable, then. But just “writing papers” with nothing really to show for them is unlikely to wow the adcomms.
So try to put your paper to good use. If it is on a good topic you should be able to find a venue for it.
