Can someone confirm this? (Michigan GPA calculation)

<p>I think I remember a U of M rep telling me that they only use whole grades (B+ is B, etc) and that they weigh honors/AP a whole point. Is this right?</p>

<p>So, if I had B+, B+, A, A, A+, A- and 3 were weighted, thats a 4.2?</p>

<p>They do only use whole grades. However, nothing is weighted. Everything is on a straight 4.0 scale, no matter what - and they only count core classes, meaning that art, jazz band, PE and what have you don't count.</p>

<p>I do know that AP Music Theory and AP Art History count as academic. I asked him about that and he said those are the two exceptions.</p>
