In a way, I'm almost in your exact spot.

I'm not an immigrant; my parents are, and they have the old-fashioned mindset. I can understand your curiosity and insistence on finding out things as soon as possible. I'm a senior as well.

My family is pushing for me to study business. Still today, I am a little bit hesitant; that is, I can't honestly say I absolutely want to study business. The generation gap and age are two factors that set me apart from their wishes; they just want me to make money and live comfortably. Sure, I want that too, but I want to do it my own way, you know? I'm more of the individual who likes to travel and explore, and I have an affinity for learning different languages. Simply put, I catch on quickly to new cultures. I debated between business and an international-related major (international relations, etc.), but I am hoping to do International Business. The best of both worlds, right? At least to me. That may be perceived as naive to somebody else more experienced.

Currently, I'm enrolled in a Financial Accounting class in my high school. To say it's hard would be an understatement. I think you have to get used to it/learn to like it. If you don't, it's gonna be worse down the road, especially when you hit college and are stuck in a major and classes you really despise. I suggest you look up more information by means of websites (collegeboard.com, princetonreview.com, etc.) and especially the career section in various bookstores. You say you're in high school; your counselor should know a thing or two. He/she will most likely direct you to some books, sites, etc. Use that to your advantage.
