<p>Work-study jobs are financed by the United States, so there’s an upper-limit on how much you can earn per semester or per year, but it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to work enough hours for that.</p>

<p>That’s pretty much true at my kids’ college, too. </p>
<p>The few “non work study” jobs are specialized…like working as a life-guard at the pools or working as a math/science tutor at the Learning Center. For those jobs, they need students who have the training/skills, so they’ll take any qualified kid.</p>
