Received this earlier today,

First of all, thank you again for your continued interest in Santa Clara University. We appreciate your patience while we spent the last several weeks evaluating our enrollment picture. It appears we have received enough deposits to reach our enrollment goal and we wanted to let you know as soon as possible.

This year we received the largest and most competitive group of applications in school history, nearly 15,000. This meant that many wonderful students, like you, were placed on our Wait List and we were only able to admit a very small percentage from that group.

The vast majority of the Wait List was already released earlier in May and you are among the few dozen we had not released as we were still finishing contacts with those deposited students who had not completed housing and orientation registrations. In all likelihood, we will still achieve our targets with the number of deposits in hand, even with some additional withdrawals.

If you would like to be considered as a transfer applicant after completing at least a year of college coursework elsewhere, we would be happy to speak with you this summer to discuss our transfer requirements and offer advice.

On behalf of Santa Clara University, we wish you much success in all of your future endeavors.

PS - If you would still like to remain on an extended Wait List for the month of June, which would be only for possible space in the College of Arts & Sciences, please contact me promptly at shayes@scu.edu to make your request.

I was on the waitlist for Leavey. But just to clarify, i'm still in the loop for another month should I chose to accept it AND i'm being offered an early transfer (1 year instead of 2)?
