Can someone please chance me nervous junior for NYU CAS so far??

Do you guys think that I should apply ED1 or ED2 because I want to show NYU my senior year grades. Is Ed1 less competitive then Ed2?

Im taking NYU precollege over the summer and going to take biology.

Extracurriculars: Interact club, equality club, i did 60 hours volunteering at a religion camp, 150 hours volunteering/interning at a physical therapy clinic, currently shadowing a doctor and going to have 150+ by the time i apply, tutoring middle schoolers going to have 60+ by the time i apply, I work at my dad's store many hours a week, and I am going to start volunteering at another clinic hopefully if they accept me, did cross country freshman and sophomore year, I also go to the gym a lot (i dont know if this would count)

Awards/ Honors: going to be in the honor society next year, won a religion contest in my temple, which required us to read a textbook and take a test on it. i had received first place and won a 42 inch TV

My guidance counselors knows my drive and is going to give me an excellent recommendation letter, my physics teacher will give me an amazing one, the doctor i am currently shadowing will also write me one, and I will try to get the biology professor at NYU precollege to write me one.

I am taking the SAT in March and hoping to get 2000+
I am going to try and get a high score in SAT 2s for Math maybe chem.

Will NYU care a lot about the 79 in chemistry? I am really concerned about this part because I feel like this 79 just killed all my chances.
Do you think I should apply ED1 or ED2?
If I dont make NYU I will apply to Stony Brook. How are my chances for stony??

Have you gone to the NYU admitted students thread. Alot of then post stats.
Study hard for your SAT’s!
Good Luck!

NYU: High Match
Good Luck!

where is the NYU admitted students thread? can you link me to it?
and are sure tis a high match? I feel like my 79 in chemistry will really bring down my chances

nah dude trust me you will be okay. The 79 obviously does not reflect your true academic ability.

alright thanks. I’m like really concerned about that. Do you think I should apply ED1 or ED2

I don’t really know man. Many colleges have ED policies and they are all very different.

I’m a junior and NYU is my dream school. I have a rare genetic disorder that compromises my health therefore I miss weeks of school at a time.
My freshman year I was in the hospital for a very long time so my gpa was only a
3.0 but now it is a 3.5 and hopefully after this year it will go to a 3.7 or 3.8.
I get mostly A’s and high B’s and I work very hard. I am the president of the ribbon club(raise money and awareness for cancer),
I am going to get an internship,
I have 100 volunteer hours, went to New Orleans to build houses that were destroyed from Hurricane Katrina.
I have work experience at a day care
1530 on SATs but I will retake them and hopefully do better.
I am in some honors and I might take 2 AP’s next year but I do not want to take very challenging courses because I do miss school a lot and it is hard to make up work. What are my chances of getting into NYU? Please respond!! Thank you
