<p>All you have to do at Purdue is fill out a fafsa form. If you qualify for a pell grant, have a 3.0+ GPA, and are in science, math, or engineering - you are automatically considered for it. The maximum is 4,000$/year and if you have applied for fafsa this year and meet the requirements, you should receive notification anytime, I just got mine today.</p>

<p>STAR is brand new. It used to be "Day on Campus". At DOC, you would register for classes, take foreign language placement, get your ID, tour your dorm, etc. I assume STAR is similar. I don't think a parent was required for DOC, though most people brought a parent or two.</p>
