What does this mean? They can't be possibly offering me a full ride. Are they saying I need to pay my full ETC or what?

Your EFC is $16,695. Have you been admitted to this school yet?

Perhaps they have not calculated a financial aid package for you yet.

Is the cost of attendance more than the EFC? If yes, then you have not financial need and will not receive any need based aid.

Yes I’ve been admitted.

The cost of attendance is more than my ETC. What is with the “Initial Need” part.

IS it a school that meets 100% demonstrated need? You you mind naming the school then we would be in a better position to assist you

Need is based on the following premise:

Cost of attendance - EFC = demonstrated need.

What is your demonstrated need?

Is it a FAFSA only school? Does the school give merit aid? Do you qualify for merit $.
Does the school give need based financial aid?

Oklahoma City University. I don’t know if they do 100% demonstrated need.

My demonstrated need is 12905.

Yes it is a FAFSA only school. Yes they give merit aid, but based on my gpa I don’t qualify. They said they would look at ti though.

I don’t understand your last question.

From the looks of things Oklahoma CIty University (private school) does not meet demonstrated need (gap). When there is a gap, the family must fill the gap the best way that they can.

You stated that you do not qualify for merit $$. Their highest scholarship of 6K, does nto put a dent in the cost of attendance ~ 30k. Walk away from this school as it is not a financially feasible option for your family (unless your family can and are willing to pay the full cost of attendance).

DO you have andy financial safeties lined up? Have you applied to OU, where the COA is ~ 18k?

[Cost Estimate - Admissions - The University of Oklahoma](<a href=“Cost ”>Cost )

Sorry-But it reads that $0 need money was awarded. It looks like it wants you to fund the entire cost. Appeal away time. GL.

Ugh I thought so…

@sybbie719 I did, but I HATE OU so much! I really DON’T want to go there.

There’s also other options including UCO and OSU.

I am not certain that you have actually been packaged yet. The COA would be more than 0 if you had. Why not call the school & ask?
