can someone with BS in engineering go to med school after taking the mcat?

Yes.

You can have a Bachelor's degree in anything, as long as you take the required core classes for med school (so many years of biology, chemistry, etc) and take the MCAT.

might want to do biomed engineering also...

engineering as in electrical engineering

does anyone have the list of core courses for med school and do u think it would be a waste of time if i did undergrad study for engineering and do med school for grad?

these are the general core courses i found somewhere online:
* One year of General Chemistry with lab
* One year of Organic Chemistry with lab or one semester of Organic Chemistry and one semester of Biochemistry
* One year of General Physics with lab
* One course in Calculus, Statistics or Computer Science
* One year of General Biology with lab
they vary a little bit sometimes for each med school, but i think this is generally what is needed.

alright thnx
