Can the counselor reccomendation be filled in by the school director/principal?

<p>My college counselor is also my AP psychology teacher and I wanted to ask him for a teacher recommendation, so he can't do both. Can I have my school principal fill out the counselor recommendation? For some other applications (Georgetown) the counselor recommendation can also be filled in by another school official. Is this the same for the common app?</p>

<p>Is there anywhere I can e-mail just to be sure?</p>

<p>Actually, your counselor CAN do both. The School Report and the Teacher Evaluation serve two different roles, so there wouldn’t necessarily have to be overlap. That said, if you and your counselor together decide that it makes more sense for another school official to complete the School Report, that is perfectly appropriate.</p>
