<p>After asking my counselor to write my LOR, she said she would be happy to write it and that she would write a different one to each school i will apply to. But we don't know if that's feasible. Can she write a different letter to each school ?
I am sorry if the question is silly but i am an international student and no one in my school has ever applied to us colleges before.</p>

<p>No, GC recs, or teacher recs for that matter, should be generic- not cookie-cutter for different schools.</p>
<p>She can only do write a letter targeted to a particular school if they are not on the common app. </p>
<p>In some cases, it would nice if a teacher could target a letter to a particular school. For example, if the teacher was an alumni of the school where your student is applying or that school has a unique program that is truly the student’s first choice.</p>

What if i am applying ED? Can they first send a recommendation to this school, and if i get rejected, send a generic one to the other schools i will apply to ? </p>
