<p>My D wants to change the first choice of majors she selected for some campuses, but she has submitted the UC application, how can she make the changes?</p>
<p>Also, she declared some competitive majors (e.g., biz, eco) in her first choice of major, and put “undeclared” for the alternate major choise. If she is denied for the first choice, does she still have a chance to be considered for the “undeclared” (second choice)? Or should she switch the order of the first/second choices, and get in first w/ “undeclared”?</p>
<p>Well, only a few UC campuses (UCLA, UCSB...) clearly say the selected majors do not matter for College of Letters & Sciences since eco majors are offered in their L&S colleges. Other campuses don't have biz/eco in L&S colleges. For instance, UCI has biz in the biz schoold, eco is offered in the Social Sci School, ), UCB has biz in the Biz School. How to handle these campuses?</p>
<p>if your D is applying as a Frosh to Cal, pre-biz, she will end up in L&S since she cannot apply to Haas until end of Soph year. But, yes, applying to biz at UCI will matter since she will be compared to other biz applicants. Suggest you call UCI and ask if a biz reject would recieve a review by their other colleges....</p>
