Can we start an official list of colleges, which superscore the ACT?

It appears that Duke does the same sort of superscoring as MIT. From Duke’s website:

“For students who choose to submit the ACT with writing, Duke will consider the highest composite score and highest sub scores on each section, regardless of test date, but will not recalculate the composite score.”

[Duke University Admissions: Standardized Testing Requirements](http://www.admissions.duke.edu/jump/applying/apply_testing.html)

wow so many schools superscore.
not sure if this is a good thing…

So many!!! NOT MANY AT ALL!!!

Very very few superscore the ACT, whereas I have yet to come across a university who does NOT superscore the SAT.

4 highly prestigious schools superscore, and only half recalculate the composite. Duke & Cornell do not recalculate, whereas Amherst + WUSTL do.

update re: NYU…they do superscore the ACT now and did put it in writing on their admissions forum.

A lot of public universities don’t superscore the SAT, including many of the top ones like Michigan and UC Berkeley. These schools use the best single-sitting SAT score. But almost all private colleges and universities superscore the SAT.

Do you guys know if Vassar superscores the ACT?

Brown?
Cornell?
CMU?

Confirm/deny

Cornell engineering superscores the ACT. I don’t know whether the rest of Cornell has the same policy.

I found this thread and I think it will be very helpful for next years applicants and maybe even this year to get a final idea about our chances before the upcoming decisions this week/next week!
