Hendrix College does.

baylor does for scholarships. probably for admission as well.

From my recent college visits, i have explicitly heard admissions officers at u chicago and wash u say that they “superscore” the sat AND act. I know northwestern university only uses the highest composite score (no superscore).

has anyone confirmed that harvard university superscores the ACT?

It says this on Stanford’s site:
We will focus our evaluation of test scores on the highest scores available (from either the SAT or the ACT). For the SAT, we will focus on the highest Critical Reading score, highest Math score and highest Writing score available (from across test sittings). For the ACT, we will focus on the highest Composite score, as well as the highest Combined English/Writing score (taken from the same sitting), and we will be sensitive to individual sub-scores.
It’s not the same as the SAT but seems to concentrate on just the English/Writing the most. Being “sensitive” is a vague term.
I have a friend at George Washington and they do NOT superscore the ACT. That’s even on their website.

i’ve heard case western does? (i don’t want to add to the list b/c i’m not positive)

DePauw no longer superscores. I contacted them and they said they will not be doing this for the 2010 application season.

I think NYU got left off the last list

Indiana does not superscore the ACT website says it takes"highest composite score"
Standardized Test Scores

IU requires scores from either the SAT or the ACT. Students must submit the results from the SAT or ACT writing component along with the other standard sections of either test.

When you register for a test, make sure to ask that your score be sent to IU Bloomington. Our SAT code is 1324 and our ACT code is 1210.

If you submit more than one set of scores, we’ll consider the highest critical reading and math component scores for the SAT or the highest ACT composite. In 2008, the average SAT score for fall admitted freshmen was 1210; the average ACT composite was 26.

actually i hadnt heard of a school superscoring ACT before, only sat. but i will have to check some others that are on son’s list. IU also told us at info session, highest composite on act ie highest score not superscored,

When my D applied to NYU for the fall of 2008, she was told by admissions that they do NOT superscore the ACT. I think this may vary year to year and the answers people are getting seem to vary based on who they speak to. Therefore, unless it says they superscore a certain test in writing, I would assume they do NOT!

MIT superscores :D

exactly

10char

Florida State University (if anyone cares)

Wth does “10char” mean? Seen it way to many times around the forums.

try posting the word “exactly”

It won’t work.

Now try it with “10char”.

it works! :P

University of Tennessee at Knoxville does!

The Dean of Admissions at Tufts University told my information session today that they superscore the ACT and then create a new composite score.

Are there any more colleges, now that the ACT is more popular that anyone knows of superscoring?

I have a 29 composite compared to a 31 (superscore)…

List of universities that superscore:

Does anyone know if Wellesley College superscores the ACT?
