Can You Chance Me Please!

Hi!

I've got a very low GPA so would a high SAT score make up for this? I am currently a junior and these are projected stats. And my ADHD also contributes to my GPA. Would mentioning this help? or is it not good to mention?

Thank you!

Math stuff is impressive. I'd say your chances are good all around. Write some awesome essaya.

Oh, i've been thinking of writing about my ADHD too :D ain't spared the H part like you.And it got worse these days, don't know why.
I thought ADHD sufferers often have hard time with math, because it's require more concentration than other subjects. Math is always my day nightmare, along with Physics. :(
I knew I had ADHD quite long time ago, but have just get how it really is and how serious mine is, recently. so I'll really appreciate it if u tell me some tips :)

Thanks

I've actually saw a lot of people with ADHD who are good at math. I'm just a terrible reader(I cannot read more than a paragraph without floating off unless it's really interesting). But I'm not really good at math because last year I had 70-something in math. and this year I'm not doing very good either. But on contests, I do better than people who gets 90's in classes, which is weird.

if you are not already, try some meds and see if they work for you. Im currently taking none because my mom doesn't want to pay $200 a month for something she doesn't even believe in. Plus I could never stick to taking meds every day anyway.

is there anyone else?

your good, just keep your grades up...but i would suggest retaking sat untill you get a perfect 2400...i say this because i know many people, both male and female, that applied to Harvard and they had 2400 sat scores, and received Eagle Scout and Gold Awards, and they had ec's equivalent to your own, if not better, and got rejected. So fyi.

i'd find some safety schools.. just because of your GPA.

Good luck!

I don't think I would write about ADHD unless you can show how you have overcome your obstacles. They might worry that you will have trouble handling the college classes.

Seems to me you are going to have to mention the issues. That takes you into the realm of disabilities at Universities. Depending on the problem you document, they provide remedies: You may get extra time, you may get a reader, you may get a special room to take exams in. I teach at the University level and deal with this regularly. But it will only happen if you go through disabilities at the school. You cannot go up to a professor and say I have ADHD without a university note and get this sorts of help.

GPA is too low for any top tier colleges...no long term dedication for ECs...most likely NYU and Michigan
