Is it academically and humanly possible to double-major in a nursing program -and- a B.S. in pre-med or biology, at the same college?

I'm thinking of this because if I earn some kind of R.N. degree, I can work as an R.N. in med school, and if anything ever happened, I would have a back-up.

Well, I would recommend not going for the BS in Bio. You can fulfill any premed requirements without actually getting a Bachelor in Bio. Many schools offer BA's in Bio and some may even offer minors that are essentially "pre-med".

Well, my question is, is it possibly to fulfill a pre-med qualification AND a nursing qualification, or do you have to get into a nursing program and remain solely in that?
I'm just worried, because I'd like a job that pays well while in med school (I have no money) and to do that, I need to earn a degree that's worth something, like an R.N. certification. I'm thinking I'll have my CNA while I'm an undergrad already.

I just want to stay immersed in the medical field to get used to it and show dedication.

You need to look at the curriculum of a nursing school, and at the requirements for medical school admissions, before you can tell whether your nursing classes will satisfy pre-med requirements.

Be aware, however, that being a nurse is very different than being a doctor, and that working as a nurse does not make it easier to get into medical school; indeed, it may make it harder.

Additionally, given the workload in medical school, I doubt that it will be possible to work as a nurse while in medical school.
