Do you guys think being a girl effects your chances (of being successful) with a business major?

No…at this point business schools typically have close to a 50/50 male-female ratio. And you should want to succeed based on your hard work and abilities.

Can’t really think of why or where this question is coming from. The more revenue you generate, the more money you make for yourself. Gender, race, etc shouldn’t have a bearing on that. Some girls try to use sexuality to gain an advantage but that usually fails. Any short term advantages usually end up completely lost.

I’m in Ross at Michigan and girls definitely have a bit of an advantage getting interviews in finance and consulting simply because the business school is 65-70% male, and out out of the girls few are interested in these positions. Beyond that it’s really what you can do for the company.
