hello,
I was wondering would I get into Montclair Sate University?
I want to get into the Nutrition and Food Science Program-Dieticion
I live in NJ
I have a 3.1642 GPA as of march my SAt score is 1200/2400
My class rank is 88 out of 155
so would i get in???
does the essay really matter>its required but im still working on it. I also have a handful of extra c's-Chorus,Gifted and talented, Book Chat, Stage Crew
Volunteer work-Library, doctors office
community service-VBS-Vacation Bible School
and part time job first semester at Kumon
so yeah, would I get in??

I got in and my GPA was 3.0
However, my SAT’s were higher than yours (1490/2400), and my class rank was a bit higher as well, although i came from a class size of 400. It also depends on the major you are applying for. I’m a fine arts major, and was accepted to the program on the spot. Montclair originally wait-listed me, but I got my acceptance letter a month after my Wait-list letter. I REALLY recommend working hard on your essay, because it could make up for your SAT scores. Good luck, maybe I’ll see you next fall :)!

I should also add that my best friend was declined from Montclair. She has a 3.4 GPA and the same SAT scores as me, but she applied for Business and Marketing. I think it really depends on the major you declare.

Are you a commuter? Housing on campus is very limited. Currently 15000 of 18000 students commute, but they are building more dorms. Not needing housing will work in your favor.

Ilive only 30 min away, b but i dont want to commute because that will just be hard to come back and forth and have time to sit and study, plus i need college experience

so pretty much i will get in?just have to write a good essay?

with that gpa you are sure to get in. It is not a selective school, but it is difficult to get through.

i didnt get in, probable because I did not submit the essay on time.my fault I guess-____-.
