I got deferred from purdue (applied for business) and they asked for my 7th semester grades. I think I did ok, what do u think? Do I have a chance?

GPA: 3.67
Overall GPA: 3.26 (increase of 0.6 from junior year)

ACP Finite: B-
AP Gov: B
Marketing 3: A-
Media Arts: B+
Novels: B+

I think you have a good chance. Just depends on your other stats and what the rest of the applicant pool looks like. I would say you are more than likely going to get it come regular decision. Good Luck!

That’s a big increase, i think they’ll see that you’ve been working hard to improve. What are your E.C and volunteer work. A lot of factors go into admissions, especially good recs and your essay.

Astronomy club (9-11th)
Volunteer at local museum
Play basketball club, 8th grade champions (8-11th)
DECA Member- regional finalist, made State competition
Work at Herff Jones 15 hrs/week
Intramurals Basketball

In my opinion your kind of borderline with your overall gpa. However I think you have a good chance of getting in because of your stronger than average math sat, good essay and the gpa improvement your senior year(always good to finish strong). I too was asked for fall 09 grades, I believe this is because my application was turned in close to the end of the semester(12-7).

yeah I wasn’t too proud of my gpa and I knew it was gonna be close to get in for business at Purdue. And yeah your probably right, there’s more competition the later you apply so it’s tougher to get in. I think your good though, you’ll get in. Lemme know if you do, i’m sending my grades via fax tomorrow.

If they were interested enough to ask for your midyear grades, and said grades are an improvement from your previous grades, I’d think you’d stand a solid chance.

One of my friends who got into purdue business had a GPA of about 3.3ish, if that helps. Does the top one represent your grade from the 12th grade so far? You’re a bit high matchy with your overall GPA, I think.

^^
yeah it does, I got 3.67 gpa my first semester of senior year. I really hope Purdue likes the improvements I’ve made because I really want to go to Purdue.
