I am a junior in New England. I have a 3.8-3.9 (UW) and 4.40 (W). I take all honors classes and am currently taking one AP class.

I have great ECs. I am a part of five clubs. I am president in one of them and I started one club.

I was a lead volunteer at Yale hospital and have 224 hours of service. I am also a part of the student government.

I got a 149(0) on my PSATs, but I was sick that day and I studied for about 30 minutes. I am not making any excuses.

Will that ruin my chances for those schools?

I will STUDY HARD for the SATs and I have enrolled in Kaplan!

What year are you? Your GPA is deff on the right track. Make sure you get SATS to a 2200 and write great essays and you will have a solid chance.

My freshman year PSAT score was about the same as yours tbh.
However, the thing about the SAT is that… you can crack it.
My SAT score SURGED an INCREDIBLE amount after thoroughly preparing for it this past month. My first attempt… well, it kind of sucked[Really competitive standards]. ~1800. I took it again this past December, and I went up 400 pts to a 2210! Granted, I had another attempt inbetween at ~2000. The first time, I went in with NOTHING, no preparation. But after answering that QOD that College Board provides, and going through an intensive course… I am sitting here, less stressed about college admissions!
Now, the only one of your colleges that I can speak intelligently about, though I am sure they all rate EC’s to be incredibly important, is NYU.
If you are applying to CAS - Shoot for a CR&M 1300+
If you are applying to Stern- Shoot for a CR&M 1400-1500.
