<p>Amen. We all know that JHU is weak................ If one is accepted to both JHU and Georgetown, I bet you that person will chose Georgetown over JHU. It's called common sense.</p>
<p>What about if you wanted to go into science (premed), which school would you pick. Rustic applied to GU has a premed with his hospital volunteer hours and in the health sciences program in HS.</p>

<p>Alright, well when I went on the tour at JHU the girl that did the tour guide was like, "I really wanted to go to Georgetown SFS, but I was rejected." Then there was a really long pause, and she was like, "but now I'm glad I came to Hopkins...(in a really dull voice)."</p>

<p>The school isn't bad at all (it was #1 for IR last year according to Gourman), but Baltimore just plaining BLOWS. The city is really dirty, and either really rough or filled with huge suburban homes. There is like nothing to do. Then they had this "see if you can get in attitude."</p>
<p>Baltimore isn't that bad of a city. As long as you stay away from the bad neighborhood (lets be honest here, what city DOESN'T have bad neighborhoods), you should be fine. theres nice places to visit in baltimore and theres also other close cities that would be nice to tour. You also have the Baltimore Ravens to watch if you like football.</p>
<p>Its also important that the city shouldn't be the most deciding factor in picking a college. Its like saying you won't go to Yale just because New Haven is dangerous.</p>
<p>School is great. Undergrads many times do Grad research. Its a great school to succeed in, especially if you have ambition and intuition. I'm planning to personally talk to professors and get recommendations. JHU is great already, but imagine if they were even improving more. They've been building new buildings, a new school of business and libraries internationally. Do some research and let me give you one piece of advice:
Never go to a GU forum or a forum of a college when you want an honest opinion about a school. Try the more general forum like College Search.</p>
<p>ok, i maintain the baltimore is lame, but yes if you want an unbiased opinion you should go to the college search or admissions forums.</p>
<p>Also, lame is relative to where you compare it to. Baltimore isn't better than tourist attractions, but it's better than many cities. Obviously an entrepreneur had even recognized baltimore as a good city to start an entire NFL franchise team. Any city with a major sports team can not be that bad.</p>
<p>Saying that a professional sports team is your best feature does not bode well. Detroit has a bunch of pro sports teams, but its also freezing cold and the most dangerous city in the nation.</p>
<p>If you want a safe place, why don't you go a deserted town with only a single college in it and plenty of cops.</p>
<p>Fastfingers, why are you on the Georgetown forum? You are going to JHU next year so I suggest you spend your time in the JHU forum. Don't mention us being bias, this is the Georgetown forum. What's wrong with JHU? Are you wishing that you were going to Georgetown?</p>
