Can you take the SAT in another state?

<p>So I want to take the SAT in June, however I may go visit a friend during that time. The thing is that he lives in another state.</p>

<p>I live in MD and he lives in North Carolina, so I was thinking of maybe signing up to take it there. Or maybe I'll be visiting family in Texas during that time.</p>

<p>So can you take it in another state?</p>

<p>Would they ask me why am I taking it there? When I graduated from HS in MD? </p>

<p>Certainly. I have to take my SAT 2s in another state and there is nothing wrong with it.</p>

<p>Yeah I am sure you can. I would call College Board just to make sure, but I think you should be fine.</p>
