Can you totally make up the SAT Essay?

I am taking the SAT this Saturday and have been studying how to create a good essay. One thing I have read in a few different places is that you can create examples that may not have any factual support. Supposedly, readers are supposed to judge the quality of the example and not the accuracy. If this is true, can I make up anything I want (to an extent) in order to write a better essay? Can I write about made up examples from history or from personal experience to fit my thesis?

Edit: For example, could I make up a statistic such as "According to the Food and Drug Administration, those who consume 5 or more dairy products a day are 25% more likely to have a heart attack than those who don't"

Yes.

Think about the graders, they have to read hundreds if not thousands of essays a day… They do not have time to fact check. Just keep with great logic and you will be great

Does anyone know… Is this the same for the ACT essay as well? Can I create my own examples for that essay, too?
