Hi, I will be graduating my community college with 87 credits, since I changed my major. Some Ivies dont accept students after 2.5 years of college, Columbia and Princeton transfer were not specified.
Pls reply
Thanks
Hi–I am not sure. but probably your best bet is Columbia GS. They take students out of CC.
Be aware, though, that graduating from CU means completing their core. You may need to take an extra year (or more) to do this.
You may want to try instead UPenn’s school for nontrads – similar to CU’s but doesn’t have the core.
Also consider schools without a core. Most schools require at least a 2-year residency at their school. But try –
- Vassar
- Women's colleges such as Barnard, Smith, Mt. H, and Brym Mawr
- Grinnell Reed
- URochester
and others
It’s impossible to transfer to Princeton as an undergrad. I’m pretty sure you won’t be eligible to transfer to Columbia if you have more than two years of transferable credits. I also recommend GS.
@IWillKillForMIT u can they started to accept transfers for fall 2018
@IWillKillForMIT : Princeton University started accepting transfers this year. Primarily aimed at CC students.
Please refer to the the transfer credits section on the transfer page of Columbia’s website. Columbia will not accept more than 64 credits. https://undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu/apply/transfer So if the college accepts you, you will have to attend 2 years to graduate. Many colleges do require a minimum of 2 years attendance before they will grant a diploma. And I agree that you should research the School of General Studies at Columbia as well.
