Hi guys! I am looking at Canadian business schools such as Western, Queen's, U of T. UBC, York, McGill... could you guys give me any suggestions for which one is the best choice for undergraduate (reputation, career, quality...)? Any idea would be appreciated!

Any sugesstions?

Good luck.

York, Queen's, and Western are usually considered as the best ones. The acceptance rate for Queen's commerce is less than that of Harvard.

U of T scarborough, has a better business program than the main campus. It emphasizes co-op experience as part of the curricula.

Queen's and Western (Ivey), imo, are the best ones. U of T is also good but it is a huge school and I'm not a big Toronto person. If you are, however, looking for an amazing environment (city + school), I'd say McGill is by far the best in that respect.

I would think something in this order for undergrad business programs:
Queen's/Western > Toronto/York > UBC > McGill

The difference is very slight however since these schools are all public. If you really want to work in Toronto, pick the first four, other than that pick UBC for ski/beach/warmer climate and McGill for frenchie atmosphere/reputation in US.

They are all very hard for Canadian students to get in, where acceptance rate ranges from 5% for smaller programs to 15% for bigger programs. Note that some do admit students directly from high schools (1st year entry) and some dont (2nd or 3rd year entry rather, much like the US top public school programs). Some have many specializations (real estate, supply chain management, human resources, etc) while others have just the popular/core ones (finance, marketing, accounting, etc). Do some research because i dont remember specifically. Overall, I would say these prgrams have the admission rate like the ivy league but academically, maybe just on par with the US top public school programs (Cal, UMich, UNC, etc)

Other than these all-star six, Simon Fraser University, University of Alberta, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Waterloo, etc offer quality business eduation as well.

Growing up in the Seattle area I heard a lot about the reputation of UBC's business school :) But basically, yeah, after learning a bit mroe I'd say that Western and York probably have the best business programs, however Queens, UBC, Toronto, and McGill have equally or almost as good programs while being better overall universities. choosing between UBC, Toronto, and McGill, if you decide to go that route--definitely take into account the sort of environment you want. UBC is more laid back, west coast, on the ocean, beautiful campus. Toronto is in the middle of the city, not a very defined campus but good location in terms of stuff to do. McGill is in Montr

Queen's, Toronto, McGill, and UBC are all flagship schools at each province. To be more specific, Queen's and Toronto for Ontario, McGill for Quebec, and UBC for British Columbia. They are all considered being overall better.

Being overall better is very important if you think in terms of these components:
1) Graduate school placement
2) Electives at other faculties (especially when it comes to Arts, Science, or Engineering)
3) School resources (facilities, research, libraries, scholarships, and exchange programs particularly in McGill and UBC)

Not to say Western or York is anything less, afterall some of the best students in Canada go to these schools for business. But they just dont match up to the Big Four in areas i mentioned above.

Thank you so much for all your suggestions! I think Queen's, Ivey and Toronto would be my first three choices.
