So I took AP Env. Sci after self studying the course for three days, and I don't feel very comfortable with my score. Would it be possible for me to cancel my AP Environmental Sci. score without any repercussions? This is my only self study and I wish I had prepared more. Will colleges frown upon this cancelled score, or will they not even know? Thanks.

They won’t know.

If you cancel your score you’ll never be able to know what you got. You might be canceling a 5.

If you really weren’t confident you should have canceled before you took the exam.

Alright, thanks.

And the reason I didn’t cancel beforehand was because I just wanted to know how I would do.

Don’t cancel. Last year I self-studied enviro as well and left half the FRQs blank, as well as guessed on half the multiple choice. Still came out with a 4.

Never cancel an AP score. You never know what you’ll end up scoring.

You don’t really have to tell colleges what score you got on AP Environmental.

Additionally, you can withhold a score of an AP from a college (you have to pay more, but you still don’t have to cancel) if you are going to send an AP score report.

Can colleges still see your scores even if you don’t send them? If they can’t, then what’s the point of canceling?? o.o

Canceling is free, and strikes the score from your record permanently, as if you never took the exam. Withholding is an alternative, but it costs money on a per-college basis. If you want to show your score to some colleges but not others, then withholding is best. But if you’re ashamed of your score entirely, canceling is a good choice.

So is there a difference between colleges seeing your scores and sending it to them for credit??

If I withhold a a score from a college for a subject which I have self-studied, will the college come to know that I have withheld the score from them?
